bhp motorsport Tuning Mercedes CLS 55 AMG Compressor

A tuning dino in the house bhp. Since the release of AMG’s 5.5 compressor engine in 2002, our team has been working on performance enhancement and optimization. The engines are already home to an enormous power potential that is just waiting to be awakened. bhp motorsport offers chip tuning and performance enhancements for the following models: E55 AMG, CLS55 AMG, SL55 AMG, CL55AMG, S55 AMG, G55 AMG, CLK DTM and sLR McLaren.

Our software optimization (chip tuning) level 1 includes an adjustment of the characteristic fields and a V-Max cancellation. This results in approx. 520 – 530hp and approx. 730Nm. The top speed is well over 300km/h.

At the customer’s request, we offer further performance improvements up to approx. 600hp and 850-900Nm.

Stage 2 includes software adjustment including V-Max removal and modification of the belt ratio of the compressor. This is how we achieve 550hp and 800Nm

Further expansion stages with changed charge air-water cooling circuit, fan manifolds, racing catalysts etc. on request.

All performance improvements for CLK DTM and SLR McLaren on request.

We have tested various tuning variants for the 5.5 compressor engine from AMG on our in-house test bench. Our main focus is always on maintaining legality and road approval (by TÜV approvalfor level 1 and level 2 (subject to charge)), an engine warranty (year of construction and mileage (subject to charge)) and the suitability for everyday use as well as Stability.

Chiptuning options for your AMG 5.5 compressor:

  • Chiptuning Level 1 with V-Max
  • Performance enhancement Level 2 with modification compressor translation and V-max
  • Lambda-off
  • Switching times of the automatic transmission
  • Adjustment torque of the gear control unit
  • Response of the magnetic coupling of the compressor
  • V-Max suspension without tuning

The following vehicles are equipped with the 5.5 AMG Compressor Motors:
